Chelsea crowned Premier League champions

 

With three matches to go, Chelsea locked up the club’s fourth Premier League championship in front of their home fans by defeating Crystal Palace 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.The title-winning goal came from Eden Hazard, a week after the Belgium winger's dynamic, individual displays were honored by his fellow professionals with the player of the year award. The win means Chelsea earned the title in nearly a wire-to-wire fashion. They held the top spot in the Premier League table since mid-August, and when the season is complete they will have spent 274 days at the top of the table, a Premier League record.
