Ludacris will return to host the bash this year, alongside first-timer Chrissy Teigen. Meanwhile, a range of top stars are set to present prizes this evening, from Idina Menzel, Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner to 50 Cent, Charlie XCX and One Direction - who will be making their first awards show appearance as a fourpiece.
The list of performers for the Billboard Music Awards 2015 reads like a 'who's who' of the music industry.
As well as Mariah Carey - performing for the first time since the inaugural ceremony in 1989 - the likes of Ed Sheeran, Fifth Harmony, Imagine Dragons, Kanye West and Van Halen will take to the stage.
It's also a night for duets, with Fall Out Boy joining Wiz Khalifa, Meghan Trainor and John Legend singing Like I'm Gonna Lose You, Pitbull pairing with Chris Brown and Britney Spears duetting with Iggy Azalea on their single Pretty Girls.
